If you are looking to scuba dive while in the Whitsunday Islands then this day tour is one of two trips visiting the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Departing from either Airlie Beach or Hamilton Island you will experience a full-day Great Barrier Reef diving adventure taking you to selected moorings around Bait Reef. Enjoy your day out on a modern, state of the art comfortable well designed dive / snorkel vessel, which has two levels of air conditioned luxury, lounge style seating, a partially shaded deck and fresh water hot and cold showers on-board. There is a full beam swim platform which makes entering and exiting the water a comfortable and easy experience.
This full day tour visits two dive locations within Bait Reef. A minimum of 3.5 hours is spent on location.
Daily Departures from Coral Sea Marina and Hamilton Island – Duration 8-10 hours
Hamilton Island – Marina on Front Street
Departs 8.45am Returns 5.00pm
Airlie Beach – Check in is at meeting point, Able Point Marina. 7.45am boarding,
Depart 8.00am Returns 6pm.
Discover Scuba Diver
Discover Scuba Diver (DSD) must complete a pool session the day prior to their Great Barrier Reef cruise. Please speak to our friendly reservations team for further information regarding pool skills & location. A reminder that DSD’s include one dive and one snorkel session. Guests may have an opportunity to purchase a second dive, however this is not guaranteed.
All certified divers are required to complete dive paperwork prior to trip departure date.
On windy or inclement weather days, to ensure an enjoyable experience and maximum activity time on windy days, we may alter the Bait Reef tour to the following:
A full day cruise visiting up to three locations within the shelter of the Whitsunday Islands, which may include a stopover at Whitehaven Beach.
Up to two snorkel and dive locations situated in the northern section of the islands, with beautiful fringing reef and abundant fish life for diving and snorkeling.
If cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the cruise timing there is no fee.
If cancelled between 48 hours and 24 hours prior there is a 50% fee.
If cancelled within 24 hours of your cruise or if you do not show there is a 100% fee.
In the event we cancel due to weather conditions you will be offered a full refund or an alternate day
