Illusions 2 is a luxury sailing catamaran with a spacious saloon with a great forward deck to move comfortably around the vessel. Departing from Airlie Beach you will enjoy a day of sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving within the 74 Islands that make up the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and Whitsunday Islands. These islands are surrounded by fringing coral reef within meters from the shoreline. Typically Illusions explore Blue Pearl Bay and Langford Island and these operators are one of the longest running, family owned and operated, day cruises in Airlie Beach.
Tea or coffee is provided for guests along with lunch, morning and afternoon tea.
A relaxed sailing trip with a courtesy bus pick up, ample of snorkeling and diving time, followed by a delicious lunch.
Certified Dives (1st Dive – $75 / 2nd Dive – $55)
Introductory Scuba Dives (1st Dive – 80 / 2nd Dive – $60)
Wetsuit hire available for $15pp
NB: For certified divers, at least one dive guaranteed through a coral maze and tunnels unparalleled by any other.
An optional deep drift dive will depend on conditions on the day, your experience and your confidence to make sure you enjoy the dive safely.
An introductory dive is also available for those keen to try diving for the first time.
NB: Medical assessment needs to be completed on all divers (Certified and Non Certified Diving) Some medical conditions may prevent you from diving so please advise us at the time of your booking or enquiry whether you have a medical condition and you are unsure whether you can dive.

7:00 — Get picked up or make your own way to the meeting point
We can pick you up with our courtesy bus from most accommodation places in Airlie Beach, or you can make your own way to the Coral Sea Marina.
Illusions 2 courtesy bus can pick you up. You can also make your own way to the meeting point in the Abel Point Marina.
7:30 — Sail to Hayman Island
On leaving the marina, relax and make yourself a coffee as we head to our first destination.
Illusions 2 is a comfortable 12m luxury sailing catamaran. Our standard route takes us to Hayman Island and Langford Island. Sometimes we have to take a different route though. Most of the time, when the weather permits, we’re sailing. Our passengers generally prefer to sit outside and enjoy the view.
9:30 – Snorkel or dive in Blue Pearl Bay
Snorkeling, diving and being part of the fish feeding at Blue Pearl Bay is an absolute highlight of any trip to the Whitsundays.
Plenty of locals are looking forward to meet you! Underwater world of the fringing coral reef shows you many peculiar creatures. Being a part of the fish feeding in Blue Pearl Bay is a wonderful experience. Come dive with us through a maze of corals and tunnels like no other.
12:00 – Snorkel at Langford Island
Enjoy snorkeling or diving again, or walk along this pretty beach, with views across to Hayman, Black (Bali Hai), Arkhurst, Bird and Hook Islands and to Stonehaven.
13:00 – Enjoy a buffet lunch on the way back to Airlie beach
Our gourmet buffet is made fresh daily by one of the top Chef’s in the Whitsundays, Big Ronny’s Catering.
15:30 – Get dropped off or walk back home
When we arrive back to the Abell Point marina in Airlie Beach, our courtesy bus can drop you off back to the place of your accommodation.
