Tusa’s stylish reef day tour boat is custom designed and built for scuba divers. These full day tours depart Cairns every day and visit two (2) outer reef sites, providing guests with between 4-5 hours to swim, snorkel and dive at the Great Barrier Reef. Divers of all experience levels are welcomed, as are non-diving companions and snorkelers. Tusa has 16 moorings on the outer Great Barrier Reef at varying sites across Norman, Saxon, Flynn and Thetford Reefs, the best two are selected on the day, to maximise experience pending prevailing conditions. The boat departs Cairns at around 8am and returns between 4-4.30pm. Passenger numbers are limited to 60, ensuring all guests have plenty of space to relax around the boat. This also means you are allocated your own snorkel and dive equipment, for the duration of the Cairns reef day tour. All equipment is included in the tour price, as is morning and afternoon tea, a fresh buffet lunch, tea, coffee and chilled water. There’s a free reef talk presentation and free prescription mask hire.
Tusa offers introductory as well as certified scuba diving. There’s no experience needed for the introductory dives and all briefings, training, equipment and guides are included in the price. Certified divers can book up to 3 dives which are taken at 2 different outer Great Barrier Reef locations. The dives can be unguided with a buddy, or guided at an additional $10 per person, per dive. All divers will enjoy the amazing dive service, which includes the dive crew defogging your mask for you and putting on and taking off your fins, on the dive deck. Nitrox available for certified divers, on request.
