Day Dive Trips
You can book day tours to swim with the Whale Sharks, but not dive. You can book half day dive tours from Coral Bay, to dive on Ningaloo Reef, which can be upgraded to a full day tour including mantra ray interaction. Or do it all, just another reason to stay in Coral Bay.
Coral Bay Whale Shark Experiences
Coral Bay is the departure point for Whale Shark encounters on Ningaloo Reef, which provides visitors with an almost guaranteed opportunity to have an in-water encounter, between March and June.
Whale Sharks. Growing up to 12m in length, Whale Sharks are the world’s largest fish and shark. They are filter feeders and gentle giants which are quite happy to share their aquatic world with inquisitive people. Generally, they travel alone across the world’s oceans, but annually they come together to enjoy the abundant food supply at Ningaloo Reef.
Manta Rays. Manta Rays are another critter which feature highly on many divers’ bucket lists and can be found in abundance on Ningaloo Reef. See them at cleaning stations and at play. Dive and snorkel with them and make the most of your experience and interactions on a Coral Bay day dive or liveaboard diving trip. Manta Rays can be seen all year round at Ningaloo Reef.
