3 Night Fly Dive Cod Hole

Trip Overview

Kick off your adventure with a breathtaking scenic flight from Cairns to Lizard Island, offering spectacular aerial views of the Great Barrier Reef. Upon arrival, dive into the pristine fringing reefs of Lizard Island, where vibrant soft and hard corals, schooling fish, and fascinating critters create a unique underwater experience. For those who prefer to stay dry, explore the historic ruins of Mrs. Watson’s Cottage or take in panoramic island views from Chinaman’s Ridge.

Venture 100 miles north of Cairns to the edge of the continental shelf, where nutrient-rich waters attract an abundance of marine life. Explore the renowned Ribbon Reefs, home to some of the most biodiverse coral and fish populations on the reef. Swim alongside massive potato cod at the world-famous Cod Hole, and dive legendary sites such as Lighthouse Bommie, Gotham City, Pixie Pinnacle, Coral Kingdom, Cracker Jack, Flare Point, and Summer Bay.

One of the trip’s highlights is Steve’s Bommie, an iconic site teeming with marine life, from tiny macro critters to larger pelagic species. With crystal-clear waters and unforgettable encounters, this expedition promises an unparalleled diving experience on the Great Barrier Reef.
