Itinerary

Set sail on an unforgettable journey through the pristine waters of Ningaloo Reef aboard Shore Thing. This 4 day 3 night liveaboard adventure offers world-class snorkelling and diving, breathtaking marine encounters, and the perfect balance of exploration and relaxation.

Day 1: Welcome Aboard & Sunset Snorkel

Arrive in Coral Bay after flying into Learmonth, with time to explore before boarding Shore Thing at 4 PM. After settling in, enjoy a late afternoon snorkel or dive at Five Fingers Reef, where vibrant marine life awaits. As the sun sets, relax on deck with a drink and take in the stunning ocean views. Dinner is served under the stars as the vessel anchors for the night.

Day 2: Coral Gardens, Reef Sharks & Sunset Snorkel

After breakfast, the day begins with a morning snorkel or dive at The Stag Forest, a coral garden known for its stunning branching formations and resident turtles. Midday brings another dive or snorkel opportunity, where reef sharks, large rays, and colourful fish can be spotted. Enjoy a freshly prepared buffet lunch while watching for dolphins and dugongs in the distance. In the late afternoon, head back into the water for a sunset snorkel, experiencing the reef as it transitions from day to night. End the day with a delicious dinner and a chance to stargaze from the deck.

Day 3: Reef Exploration & Optional Kayaking/SUP

Start the morning with a guided snorkel or dive at a handpicked location chosen by the crew based on conditions. Ningaloo Reef offers an incredible diversity of marine life, with turtles, rays, and vibrant coral formations at every turn. Between dives, enjoy the opportunity to kayak or paddle-board across the crystal-clear waters, keeping an eye out for rays and turtles below. From June to October, this is also the perfect time to spot migrating humpback whales as they pass through the area. The day concludes with another stunning sunset, a freshly prepared meal, and an evening of relaxation on board.

Day 4: Manta Rays & Final Dive

The final morning starts with a manta ray search, where guides share insights into their biology and behaviour before guests have the chance to snorkel alongside these graceful creatures. Before returning to Coral Bay, enjoy one last snorkel or dive at Asho’s Gap, a well-known cleaning station where reef sharks gather to be groomed by small fish. A final buffet lunch is served before the tour arrives back in Coral Bay at 12:30 PM. Guests can choose to catch an afternoon flight from Learmonth or extend their stay to explore more of the region.
