The Coral Sea is a vast expanse of deep blue, offering exceptional visibility and an abundance of marine life. Known for its thrilling shark encounters and big fish action, this remote region boasts towering soft coral trees and majestic sea fans, creating an awe-inspiring underwater landscape.
The Ribbon Reefs, a prized section of the Great Barrier Reef, are home to an extraordinary diversity of fish and coral species. A standout experience is the famous Cod Hole, where divers can swim alongside enormous potato cod groupers. Beyond this iconic site, the Ribbon Reefs offer a rich and vibrant ecosystem, teeming with marine life.
Midway through the expedition, guests are invited to step ashore at Lizard Island for a short excursion. Explore the historic ruins of Mrs. Watson’s Cottage, stroll along a scenic boardwalk through the mangrove swamp, and hike up Chinaman’s Ridge for breathtaking panoramic views of the island and its surrounding reefs.
