Itinerary

Set sail on an unforgettable journey through the pristine waters of Ningaloo Reef aboard Shore Thing. Tour combines the 3 night and the 5 night liveaboard adventure and offers world-class snorkelling and diving, breathtaking marine encounters, and the perfect balance of exploration and relaxation.

Day 1 – Arrival & First Snorkel

Arrive in Coral Bay and transfer to Shore Thing for a 4:00 PM departure. Sail through the coral formations surrounding Coral Bay and enjoy a late afternoon snorkel or dive, followed by a stunning sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Day 2 – Manta Rays & Stanley Pools

Start the day with a morning snorkel or dive at Pandora’s Garden, home to vibrant plate corals and marine turtles. Sail north to Batemans Bay, where we search for Manta Rays and discuss their unique behaviors. After lunch, cruise past the striking Stanley Pools, looking for dugongs, dolphins, and seasonal Humpback Whales (June–October) before reaching Chabjuwardoo Bay for the night.

Day 3 – Shipwreck Tales & Sunset at Point Cloates

Sail north to Point Cloates, stopping at exclusive snorkel and dive sites such as The Fishbowl, Holey Moley, and Turtle Pond. Pass the historic site of The Stefano shipwreck and watch the sunset from the sand dunes at Point Cloates. Enjoy a two-course dinner while reviewing photos of the day’s marine encounters.

Day 4 – Norwegian Bay & The Fin Shipwreck

Explore top dive sites around Point Cloates, such as Cloates Corner and The Clam Graveyard, with chances to see reef sharks, turtles, and rare nudibranchs. Sail into Norwegian Bay, past the ruins of a 1950s whaling station, and snorkel the Fin Shipwreck, now a thriving marine habitat.

Day 5 – Coastal Kayaking & North Reef Nursery

Start the morning with a kayak or SUP session along the secluded coastline. Enjoy another dive or snorkel before heading south, stopping at The Minefield and The Ravine. Pass North Reef, where we look for Manta Rays, and snorkel North Reef Nursery, home to sweetlips, snapper, and reef sharks. Enjoy the final night with your 5-night tour guests before returning to Coral Bay.

Day 6 – Transition Day & Five Fingers Reef

Disembark guests from the 5-night tour before enjoying a relaxed afternoon in Coral Bay. Re-board Shore Thing with new 3-night guests, then set sail for Five Fingers Reef for an evening snorkel or dive.

Day 7 – Coral Gullies & Sailing with Dolphins

Enjoy morning dives or snorkels at Black Douglas or Coral Gullies, exploring sandy pathways lined with vibrant coral. After lunch, hoist the sails and keep watch for dolphins and dugongs while sailing to our evening anchorage.

Day 8 – Exploring Ningaloo’s Hidden Gems

Discover some of Ningaloo’s best-kept secrets at Syd’s Harbour, Goliath’s Den, or The Football Field. Kayak or SUP in calm waters while watching for Humpback Whales (June–October).

Day 9 – Manta Rays & Final Snorkel

Search for Manta Rays one last time before sailing back towards Coral Bay. Enjoy a final snorkel or dive at Asho’s Gap (a shark cleaning station) or the Blue Maze, home to dense coral formations and vibrant reef fish.

Return to Coral Bay at 12:30 PM, with options to catch an afternoon flight from Learmonth or extend your stay to explore more of this breathtaking region.
