Deep Sea Divers Den in Cairns are a 5 star PADI centre. They provide PADI scuba diving courses to suit people of all experience levels and interests. Whether you are wanting to learn to dive, enhance your existing certification, or train to become an elite PADI Open Water Instructor, Deep Sea Divers Den can make it happen. The best news? This is all happens in Cairns, on the Great Barrier Reef, an icon for dive tourism worldwide. Their scuba training school and dive shop are located at 319 Draper Street, in Cairns city. It’s been purpose built to meet the needs of scuba divers of all experience levels. It features four classrooms and a training pool. The training pool has two shallow water areas and a 3m ‘deep’ section. This allows new divers to become comfortable with breathing underwater, before descending a little deeper to learn buoyancy and the functions of their dive equipment. With three (3) boats in their fleet, including two (2) specialised day boats and a liveaboard vessel, students can complete the dive component of their training on day trips or a liveaboard trip.
The diving details and information varies, depending on what course you are interested in completing. There are some constants though. Deep Sea Divers Den provide all equipment and tuition. Learning and theory / practice dives are completed at their first-class training centre, in the heart of Cairns city. Open water dives are completed on the Great Barrier Reef, either on their day boat or liveaboard boat. Non-divers and diving companions are welcomed aboard their boats, with lots of excellent opportunities for snorkeling on the reef. Where will you dive? It varies on what course you are completing and conditions at the time. Deep Sea Divers Den has 17 outer reef moorings across various sites including Hastings, Norman and Saxon Reefs.
