About your Julian Rocks diving experience - Byron Bay

Byron Bay Dive Centre are committed to providing scuba divers of all experience levels with a great diving day tour from Byron Bay. Where do they go? The Julian Rocks Marine Reserve. Located just offshore (a 5-10 minute boat ride), Julian Rocks Marine Reserve is a unique dive location, home to temperate and sub-tropical species. We’re talking three (3) species of marine turtles, lionfish, a few species of shark, nudibranchs, batfish, moray eels, cuttlefish, eagle rays and more. Julian Rocks Marine Reserve is just 2.5km offshore and the dive sites offer something for everyone. Dive depth varies across the sites and can be anywhere from 5-25m. Some of the sites you might dive include the Cray Cave, Hugo’s Trench, the Nursery and the Needles. Certified divers can book anywhere from 1-3 dives during their Byron Bay Dive Centre day tour.

Diving Details
As Julian Rocks Marine Reserve is so close to shore, each dive is operated as a single dive trip. This means the Byron Bay Dive Centre boat makes 3 trips, to and from Julian Rocks Marine Reserve each day, pending demand. This is great news for travelers, as you can tailor your Byron Bay dive experience to suit your itinerary. Book 1, 2 or 3 dives each day. Trips for dive 1 depart at 8am; dive 2 at 11am and the final dive trip departs at 2pm. Each dive lasts approximately 40-50 minutes. You can choose full gear hire or tanks and weights only (price varies). All diving is guided and there’s no solo diving. Please note, if you have not dived in the last 12 months, we will need you to complete a refresher. You will need to show your certification card. Snorkel trips are available for non-diving companions.

Dive Times (Scheduled 8.00am, 11.00am, 2.00pm)

For simplicity we have loaded the 2 Dive package for the live availability.  Please contact us is you are wanting to book only one dive or possibly three certified dives.  Divers will return to the dive centre between the first and second dive.
