Moderate fitness is required. Guests will do short hikes and swims (up to 4 km per day), sometimes over rocky or uneven terrain.
Yes, passengers with special meal requirements or food allergies MUST ensure they inform us at least 72 hours prior to the trip commencing. Food for the trip is purchased before commencement and special requirements cannot be catered for after departing. Due to the remote nature of our tours, food is basic but plentiful. You’ll stay in comfortable multi-share hostel accommodation each night. Rooms are typically 4–10 mixed gender dorms, with shared bathroom facilities. All hostels provide basic amenities such as hot showers, flushing toilets, and communal areas to relax after a day of exploring.
Mobile coverage will be intermittent as you’ll be travelling through remote outback locations. We recommend letting friends and family know you may be out of contact during parts of the tour. Guides are equipped with satellite phones for emergencies only.
Yes – while your guide will take care of most of the meals, you’ll have the chance to get involved with simple daily tasks like setting up camp, meal prep, and tidying up. It’s all part of the shared experience, and your help is always appreciated. Many travelers say that pitching in helps them feel more connected and less like a tourist – it’s all part of the adventure!
