The Diving

Scuba diving is available onboard for both Introductory and Certified divers at just $99 each, payable directly onboard. One day of diving is available per trip, and can accommodate 6 introductory divers and 6 certified divers, so be sure to book in advance!

Dive into the magic of North Hook, one of the Whitsundays’ top spots for diving and snorkeling. Swim alongside incredible marine life like parrotfish, batfish, cuttlefish, and even giant clams. After an epic day underwater, unwind with a cold beer, soak up the balmy evening air, and gaze at the Southern Cross while spotting shooting stars. Pure bliss!

What To Bring

Please bring only a small soft bag with:

  • Swimwear and beach/ bath towel
  • Sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunnies etc.)
  • Warm clothes/pullover for evenings (seasonal)
  • Change of clothes
  • Toiletries
  • Insect repellent
  • Water bottles to refill
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • BYO alcohol (no glass or red wine).

Important Information *Prices for New Horizon and Atlantic Clipper will change for school holiday periods. Runs and departure days are subject to change, please check availability before booking. All prices are per person in AUD and include GST (excluding administration fees). Private cabins are paid by multiples of 2 or by the full cabin price. Passengers wanting sole use of a private cabin will need to pay for 2 persons. All prices include professional skipper and crew, live-aboard accommodation, all meals, fresh linen and use of wet suits or stinger suits, snorkelling equipment and marine park fees.

  • Once on board our friendly crew will brief you whilst sailing, during sunset, to our anchorage for the evening, waterslide and dive-board fun until we enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the evening getting to know other passengers and crew.
  • Wake up and take a bush walk up to the 4th most photographed location in Australia.  Gaze down on the 7km of pure white silica sand at Whitehaven Beach.  Sunbathe/swim on the beautiful beach for a couple of hours.
  • Head back to the boat for a snorkel/dive at one of our pristine dive/snorkel locations in and around North Hook, then sit down in the spacious galley for a sumptuous lunch, freshly prepared by crew.  Our extensive permit allows us to go to all top locations in the Whitsunday’s.
  • Spend the afternoon with friends slipping/sliding/spa’ing/swimming/sloshing and sunning or just sit and enjoy the view on our comfy bean bags.
  • Get on board for some evening drinks and prep yourself for your delicious dinner.
  • Let our crew show you how we like to have fun on the top deck, or chill out with a cold one in the air-conditioned galley with our board games.
  • Fall into bed for a good kip before our final day tomorrow…
  • The crew will wake you up to have yummy breaky, for you to begin your last day of sailing.
  • Sail to another beautiful snorkel/dive spot and splish/splash/spa/slide and dive for some final fun on the Clipper
  • Head home, for a final briefing and then spruce yourself up for a night (with any crew on land) for the after party.

FAQ

Dive in Australia honours operators individual Cancellation/Rescheduling/Refund Policies. Sailing tours are always dependent on the weather. If your trip is cancelled for any reason Dive in Australia will honour Sailing Whitsundays refund policy. Flexible refund policies are now in place based on the uncertainty of travel restrictions.Cancellations made within 14 days of departure for overnight boats will result in complete forfeiture of the ticket price. Cancellations made out of these time frames will be refunded in full, minus any credit card/administration fees.

We understand that booking travel can be quite nerve-wracking in these uncertain times, that is why we have installed a flexible policy when it comes to cancellations made due to a covid lock down. If a guest needs to cancel due to a covid lockdown, and they advise us as soon as the lockdown occurs, then they will be eligible for an open dated ticket of the full amount paid. Open dated ticket requests must be sent through in writing and you may be asked to show proof of address at the time. If you are unable to travel due to contracting Covid 19 or are a close contact of a person with Covid 19, you may also be eligible for an open dated ticket. A cancellation request must be sent through in writing and we will need you to send proof of your positive test result.

If you hire a private twin cabin or a private double cabin, that will be two people per room. If you have chosen the shared accommodation, you will be put in a cabin that sleeps between three to four guests
