Handcrafted in 1945 by master shipwrights, Summertime has been lovingly restored and immaculately maintained. While retaining all of her old world charms, the boat also boasts a freshwater Jacuzzi and is fully air-conditioned.
Whitsundays provides sail and kayak liveaboard Whitsunday trips, lasting 2 days / 1 nights. The boat itself is a 16.7m timber sailing ketch, which comfortably accommodates up to 16 people. With fully air-conditioned interiors for passenger comfort, the Summertime is one of the few liveaboard boats to have an on-board freshwater jacuzzi. She’s also the only one to provide guided kayak adventures, as a part of the tour. Accommodation options range from a selection of private cabins and shared double, single or triple.

A Summertime voyage is a full two day, one night Whitsunday cruise. Summertime sails around one of the world’s premier holiday destinations, The Whitsunday Islands are regarded as a sailor’s paradise. The close proximity of the 74 islands provides endless shelter and snug overnight anchorages, so now all you need is a traditional sailing boat to complete this picture.
Where do you go? Where the wind takes you. The Summertime easily explores all the popular places of the Whitsunday Islands, including Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet. The tour price includes accommodation, all meals, wetsuits, snorkeling and kayak equipment. You need to bring swimwear, hat, change of clothes, sunscreen, warmer clothes for night, beach towel and any alcoholic drinks you may want during your trip (no glass please). The Summertime Whitsundays liveaboard dive trips depart from Abel Point Marina at Airlie Beach, every Sunday and Thursday at 9am. It returns around 3pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Laze on the famous Whitehaven Beach and snorkel fringing reef in the World Heritage Marine Park. With 10 of the latest inflatable two person kayaks, we offer the Whitsundays only eco friendly ‘guided’ kayak tour. All meals are prepared fresh on board. Our classic oiled timber decks with plenty of shade and the fresh water jacuzzi will make relaxing easy.

Returns around 3pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays
Depart Abell Point Marina and set sail towards the largest of the islands, Whitsunday Island. You’ll have lunch along the way in Hook Passage enjoying the views and getting to know your fellow passengers. Our friendly guide will take you over to Tongue Bay and complete a short bush walk up to Hill Inlet Lookout. After taking some amazing photos you’ll head down the path to Whitehaven Beach and enjoy a couple of hours relaxing on the world famous beach. Once everyone is back on board you’ll enjoy some sunset snacks and a beverage on your way to the anchorage for the evening. Enjoy a BBQ dinner on deck and a photo slideshow of the days photos.
Wake up in the beauty of the islands and have breakfast on deck while the crew is preparing the kayaks. The deckhand will take everyone on a guided kayak tour exploring hidden inlets and fringing reef which is a trip highlight for many. After enjoying a 2 hour gentle paddle you’ll gear up for a snorkel to enjoy the underwater sea life. Once everyone is back on board the crew will cook up a BBQ lunch and you’ll set sail back to Airlie Beach.
