Customers Review

“Had an amazing three-day liveaboard scuba trip with Pro Dive! The group of 20 people plus the instructors and captain was fantastic, everyone got along so well, and the dive sites were breathtaking. I got certified as an Open Water Diver during the trip — such a milestone! Exploring the coral reefs and incredible marine life was truly peaceful and something I’ll treasure. Excited to use this certification around the world. Thanks, Pro Dive!” Scott Bowman – September 2025

Do I need to have a dive medical to learn to scuba dive?

Prior to commencing your dive course, you are required to complete the self-assessment Student Diver Medical Declaration. A positive response to any questions indicates there is a pre-existing condition which may affect your safety while diving and you must consult a medical practitioner, preferably with experience in diving medicine, to obtain a dive medical certificate that states you are medically fit to dive. Medical must be complete within 90 days of starting your dive course. To obtain a copy of the form please contact us. We recommend that you do not fly within 24 hours of diving. The earliest you should fly is 12 pm (midday) on the day after your trip concludes.

How strong a swimmer do I need to be to complete your dive course?

It is a dive course requirement that you be able to swim 200 metres or snorkel 300 metres and tread water/float for 10 minutes.

What is the minimum age to learn to dive?

The minimum age to learn to dive in Queensland is 10. There is no maximum age.

What are the sleeping arrangements on the liveaboard vessel?

ScubaPro is made up of 14 twin-share cabins and two double cabins. The double cabins are allocated on a first in first basis and are for a couple. You have the option to purchase a cabin to yourself at an additional cost.

I'm travelling on my own. Will I share a cabin with someone of the opposite sex.

Generally speaking no. Sole travellers are allocated cabins with someone of the same sex. If this is not possible we will speak with you first to have your consent.
