This is one of the few overnight sailing trips that guarantees a visit to Whitehaven Beach, including the iconic swirling sands of Hill Inlet at its northern end. You’ll also explore the southern stretch of Whitehaven, a 7km expanse of pure silica sand, where you can relax on the beach or hike to a lookout with breathtaking views of turquoise waters and surrounding islands.
Experience the thrill of real sailing—join in the action or unwind on the sheltered aft deck or in the cozy saloon below.
Departs 9am Tuesdays and Fridays, meeting at 8.30am.
DAY 1
Sail to the South of Whitehaven and enjoy time at the beach. Swim, walk the beach, take a short walk to the viewpoint around 15 minutes each way or simply relax on the beach. An optional longer walk to Chance Bay around 2 hours is also available. Stay overnight in the Whitehaven Bay area.
DAY 2
Visit the North end of Whitehaven Beach and the spectacular Hill Inlet lookout. Spend around three hours visiting this stunning location. The lookout walk is around 15 minutes each way. Sail North to the top of Hook Island.
DAY 3
Snorkel at Mantaray Bay and Butterfly Bay. Visit the sand strip at Langford Island and possibly snorkel with turtles. Sail back to Airlie Beach.
Returns Thursdays and Sundays 4pm
