Stretching 260km along the west side of the peninsula, the Ningaloo Reef is a marine life hotspot. The section running through Cape Range National Park is especially rich, with hard coral formations, surge channels, and thriving marine ecosystems. Expect to see reef sharks, turtles, moray eels, rays, and large pelagic fish on nearly every dive.
At the northern tip of the peninsula, Lighthouse Bay sits within a protected sanctuary zone, ensuring pristine diving conditions. Its rocky outcrops, coral ledges, and deep crevices create fascinating underwater landscapes. Popular dive sites like Blizzard Ridge, Labyrinth, and Dibley are home to massive fish schools, sea snakes, crayfish, shrimp, and sharks.
During certain times of the year, this area offers the ultimate wildlife experience—Whale sharks, manta rays, and humpback whales. Hearing a humpback whale’s song underwater is truly unforgettable.
Visibility varies from 5–20m, depending on weather and plankton levels, but this nutrient-rich water is exactly why Manta Rays and Whale Sharks thrive here!
Lighthouse Bay – At the very north west tip of the peninsular the coastline forms a bay. Hard corals make up a large
portion of the reef forming surge channels, coral outcrops and rocky ledges. There are common sightings of reef sharks, wobbegongs, turtles, sea snakes, moray eels, rays, big pelagic
fish, large schools of snapper, trevally and perch, as well as awesome macro life such as nudibraches, octopus and shrimps. The sound of the humpback whale song during the dives is an incredible and moving experience, not to mention a sighting of any of the big three!
Westside Location – Dive or snorkel the magical Ningaloo Reef Westside. The Ningaloo reef fringes the west side of the peninsular snaking its way for 260km. The section of
the Ningaloo traveling through the Cape Range National Park, like the rest of the reef, is incredibly rich in marine life. Hard corals make up a large proportion of the reef forming surge channels, a rare structure in tropical reefs. Reef sharks, turtles, moray eels, rays and big pelagic fish are all frequently spotted.
During certain times of year, the Ningaloo Reef boasts ‘the big three’ – Whale sharks, manta rays and humpback whales. The sound of the humpback whale song during the dives is a incredible and moving experience, not to mention a sighting of any of the big three.
This tour takes you on two incredible dives at carefully selected sites in Lighthouse Bay or the West Side, depending on the best conditions for the day.
Small groups – Maximum 15 scuba divers onboard the boat.
