If you are looking to scuba dive while in the Whitsunday Islands then this day tour is one of two trips visiting the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Departing from either Shute Harbour or Hamilton Island you will experience a full-day Great Barrier Reef diving adventure taking you to selected moorings around Bait Reef. Enjoy your day out on a modern, state-of-the-art comfortable well designed dive/snorkel vessel, which has two levels of air-conditioned luxury, lounge-style seating, a partially shaded deck and fresh water hot and cold showers on-board. There is a full beam swim platform which makes entering and exiting the water a comfortable and easy experience.
The Great Barrier Reef is home to a remarkable variety of marine life, plants and animals including sharks, rays, turtles and fish as well as corals and seaweeds. Experience this amazing destination with the unique full day diving/snorkelling adventure taking you to Bait Reef – an intermediate to advanced dive site. We take smaller groups to this secluded dive spot and provide a guided dive experience.
This full-day tour visits two dive/snorkelling locations within Bait Reef. A minimum of 3.5 hours is spent on location.
Full-Day Dive/Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef
Departure Point: Shute Harbour
Duration: 10 hours 45 mins. Departs 6:45 AM – Departures from Shute Harbour will transfer via Hamilton Island in both directions
Departure Point: Hamilton Island – Tuesday | Thursday | Saturday & Sunday
Duration: 8 hours. Departs 8 AM

Bookings made within 24 hours of departure are confirmed. Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to departure will not incur a cancellation fee. Cancellations made between 48 and 24 hours prior to departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee. • Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour, or on the day of tour or no shows will result in 100% charge. • If Explore Group cancels the tour you will be offered a full refund or an alternate date of travel. • These conditions also apply for transferring tour dates • The vessel departure will not be delayed due to your late arrival. This includes factors beyond your control including medical problems, airline delays, etc
All divers must complete a medical questionnaire and may require a medical prior to diving. Please discuss this with us at the time of booking You must produce your certification card and/or log book at the time of booking and have dived within the last 12 months Your full day experience includes two dives at the reef Your fees include all gear hire You will be guided by our experience Divemasters or Instructors Children must be 12 years and older to participate in diving. Divers aged 12 to 14 years old must dive with a certified parent or guardian
