Looking for an exclusive Cairns Great Barrier Reef day tour. It commences with a rainforest river cruise departing South of Cairns.
Your destination is the Frankland Islands, a cluster of pristine National Park islands, surrounded by vibrant fringing reefs home to turtles, octopus and many species of marine life, including the ever-popular anemone clownfish. You have up to 4.5 hours to explore and enjoy this natural paradise, above and below the water.
Included in your day is a guided snorkel tour and all snorkeling equipment and instruction is included.

Frankland Island Reef Cruises is the only Cairns reef, rainforest and river day tour.
Your day starts with a comfortable, airconditioned coach departs Cairns daily at around 7.45am. You will drive south past fields of sugar cane and the iconic Gordonvale Pyramid, tracking alongside the World Heritage listed Wooroonooran National Park with rainforest mountains, to your river cruise departure point.
Please note transfers are also available from Mission Beach.
Climb aboard a modern luxurious boat named ‘Turtle Islander’, which has two levels of airconditioned comfort and shaded outdoor decks, all providing panoramic views.
With only a 30-minute calm water cruise along the Mulgrave River, which is lined with rainforest and mangroves, before a short 6-mile open water crossing to the Frankland Islands. This archipelago is a natural haven and protected National Park. It’s surrounded by pristine sandy beaches, with rock pools and healthy fringing reefs which can be snorkeled from the beach. Here you have up to 4.5 hours to relax and enjoy.
The tour returns to Cairns around 5.15pm.
