Full Itinerary

Day 1: Perth → Kalbarri

  • Visit the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park and Port Gregory’s Pink Lake.
  • Arrive in the coastal town of Kalbarri.

Drive: ~6.5 hrs / ~600 km Walk: ~2 km

Day 2: Kalbarri NP → Shark Bay

  • Explore Murchison Gorge, Nature’s Window & Z-Bend Gorge in Kalbarri NP.
  • Visit Shell Beach; continue to Denham/Monkey Mia.

Drive: ~5.5 hrs / ~470 km Walk: ~5 km

Day 3: Monkey Mia → Coral Bay

  • Meet the Monkey Mia dolphins.
  • Visit Hamelin Pool stromatolites; travel via Carnarvon to Coral Bay.

Drive: ~6.5 hrs Walk: ~2 km

Day 4: Coral Bay → Exmouth (Cape Range NP)

  • Free time to explore Coral Bay & Ningaloo Reef (snorkelling, glass-bottom boat, optional manta rays).

Day 5: Exmouth & Cape Range NP

  • Snorkel Cape Range NP; optional whale shark or manta ray experiences (seasonal).

Day 6: Exmouth → Karijini NP

  • Travel inland through the Pilbara via Tom Price.
  • Camp near the Hamersley Range.

Drive: ~9 hrs / ~750 km

Day 7: Karijini NP

  • Full day exploring Karijini gorges: Dales Gorge, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool, Weano & Hancock Gorge.

Drive: ~2 hrs / ~30 km Walk: up to 6 km

Day 8: Karijini NP

  • Continue hiking deep gorges and swimming in natural pools.

Drive: ~2 hrs / ~180 km Walk: up to 6 km

Day 9: Karijini → Pilbara Station Stay

  • Visit Port Hedland to learn about the region’s iron ore industry.
  • Overnight at a Pilbara cattle station.

Drive: ~6.5 hrs / ~520 km

Day 10: Pilbara → Broome

  • Final drive north, stopping at the spectacular 80 Mile Beach.
  • Tour ends on arrival in Broome.

Luggage limit of 15kg in soft bag plus carry-on day pack. No hard cases, please. This tour requires a good level of fitness and mobility. You should be prepared for longer walks of up to 3-10 km a day over uneven terrain, sometimes in hot conditions. Travellers must be in good health, as the itinerary involves long travel days in remote areas with limited facilities. A solid level of physical fitness will help you enjoy the experience to the fullest.

Yes, passengers with special meal requirements or food allergies MUST ensure they inform us at least 72 hours prior to the trip commencing. Food for the trip is purchased before commencement and special requirements cannot be catered for after departing. Due to the remote nature of our tours, food is basic but plentiful. We can cater for the following dietary requirements: No Pork No Dairy Vegetarian Vegan Gluten Free (& Coeliac)
