Full Itinerary

It is recommend to check in at the retail shop and have all your dive/snorkel equipment organised and fill out any necessary paper work before the morning of your departure. Pro Dive’s retail shop is located on the corner of Grafton and Shields streets (Cairns City). The shop is open 7 days a week, from 9:30am to 7:00pm.

DAY 1

DIVING THE OUTER GREAT BARRIER REEF
05:45-06:15 Complimentary hotel transfer – available from Cairns City and Northern Beaches accommodation.
06:20 Check-in at Pro Dive Cairns retail shop – corner of Grafton and Shields streets.
07:00 Depart Cairns for 3 days and 2 nights of fantastic diving/snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef. A light breakfast is served onboard.
10:30 Your first dive is before lunch. A dive guide will be offered for those divers who have not dived in a while.
12:00 Lunch is served -hearty soup with an array of fresh salads, cold meats and bread rolls.
14:30 Your second dive -head off and discover more underwater delights. Once you have completed your dive the vessel moves on to the next site.
16:30 After an afternoon of relaxing it’s time for your third dive of the trip.
18:00 Dinner – the menu changes each trip however it will be wholesome, hot and of course plentiful!
19:30 The night dive! The night dive is at the same site as the afternoon dive, as this way you are familiar with your surroundings.
20:30 Dessert is served
DAY 2
MORE FANTASTIC DIVING ON THE OUTER BARRIER REEF
07:30 The vessel moves for an early morning dive. Look out for splendid gorgonian fans, giant clams and bumphead parrotfish.
09:00 Enjoy a hearty breakfast of cereal, fresh fruit, bacon and eggs, toast and spreads.
11:00 After breakfast the vessel moves on for the second dive of the day.
12:30 Lunch on the second day is hot pasta with a variety of fresh salads.
15:00 After lunch it’s time for your third dive.
18:00 Enjoy a hot dinner before your second night dive.

DAY 3

MORNING DIVES AND RETURN TO CAIRNS

06:30 Your first dive of the day –a sunrise dive to enjoy the reef waking up.
07:30 A hot breakfast accompanied with fresh fruit salad, cereals and toast.
09:00 After breakfast, you visit the last site of the trip, for the second dive of the day.
11:00 Your last dive of the trip!
12:00 A selection of freshly made sandwiches is served before the vessel departs to Cairns.
16:00 Complimentary accommodation transfers –Cairns City and Northern Beaches.
19:30 Join fellow customers and crew at a local restaurant for a farewell dinner (optional).

FAQ

Dive in Australia honours operators individual Cancellation/Rescheduling/Refund Policies. All tours traveling to the reef or dive locations in Australia are always dependent on the weather. Operators are forced to cancel trips due to extreme weather conditions. If your trip is cancelled for any reason Dive in Australia will honour the operators refund policy. A full refund will be paid if booking is cancelled outside 48hours of the departure date. Bookings cancelled within 48hours of the departure date attract a 100% cancellation fee

Please Note: some medical conditions may prevent you diving and you will be required to complete a waiver and medical statement prior to the trip. If you have recently/continue to suffer from an illness or condition that may affect your dive fitness, or currently taking any prescription medication, you will need to consult a doctor for a 'fit to dive' medical certificate. Examples include but are not limited to; diagnosed asthma, brain/ spinal cord or nervous disorder, chest surgery, chronic bronchitis or sinus condition, lung problems, current cold, cough, flu, chest infection, diabetes, ear problems, epilepsy (unless you have a certification and trained buddy for this condition), fainting or seizures, heart problems, Tuberculosis, high or low blood pressure, any non over the counter medications including those for the treatment of anxiety and depression. (Exception of oral contraception). Special COVID-19 Information: The health and wellbeing of customers and staff are paramount. If any customers present to check-in with fever, coughing, sore throat, fatigue, or shortness of breath, you may be required to undergo a COVID-19 test prior to joining your trip.
