Just 9 nautical miles from Exmouth, the Muiron Islands offer a completely different underwater experience from the west side of the peninsula. Despite their close proximity, these islands boast a vibrant underwater oasis with an abundance of soft corals, gorgonians, and sponges lining their edges.

The marine life here is nothing short of spectacular—think thriving fish populations, colourful nudibranchs, and even the occasional manta ray gliding by. The soft corals not only add a mesmerising splash of colour and movement but also attract plenty of turtles, making every dive an unforgettable experience.

Many dive sites around the Muirons feature swim-throughs filled with shimmering glass fish and inquisitive cod, adding to the adventure. One of our absolute favourites? A stunning drift dive between the islands!

Visibility varies between 5–20m, depending on the weather and plankton levels, but that’s what makes this place so special—plankton-rich waters attract manta rays and even whale sharks to the Ningaloo!
