Wolf Rock Dive offers day dive tours from Rainbow Beach, in southern Queensland. Their primary destination is Wolf Rock, which is perhaps best known for its large resident population of grey nurse sharks. Apart from the sharks, which are impressive, this dive site delivers a range of marine creatures which will appeal to all scuba divers. We’re talking giant Queensland gropers, manta rays, leopard sharks, three (3) species of marine turtles and much, much more. The dive site itself is comprised of four volcanic pinnacles. Dive depth varies from 35m to 11m. The pinnacles are covered with a range of hard and soft corals and are home to a diverse array of temperate and sub-tropical species, including octopus, sea stars, nudibranchs and more. Wolf Rock Dive is run by a tight knit crew who have spent most of their professional lives working in the dive industry. There’s daily departures and small numbers. Minimum of two divers and maximum of six.
The Wolf Rock Dive day tour is for certified divers only. The dive site itself is considered a deep dive (over 20 metres at times). The conditions at this site are variable and there can be strong currents at times. This day tour includes two (2) certified dives at Wolf Rock with a minimum one (1) hour surface interval, where a light lunch is provided. You will need to show your certification card. All equipment and dives guides are included in the tour price. Due to the small numbers (maximum of six divers per trip), we strongly recommend you book ahead to avoid disappointment.
